Wall Street's indexes fell sharply as soaring coronavirus cases and a deadlock in Washington over the next fiscal aid bill darkened the economic outlook in the run up to the Nov. 3 presidential election. New home sales fell 3.5% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 959,000 units in September. The median new house price increased 3.5% to $326,800 in September from a year ago. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down -2.41 percent at 27652.25. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell -1.966301 percent to 3397.25. The Nasdaq was down -1.67 percent at 11355.101.
